My first post on my adventure that is starting today.  I am off to Melbourne to complete my pre-departure training, two days with Engineers Without Borders (EWB).  I am volunteering for EWB in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, Vietnam.  I am seconded out to Habitat for Humanity, a Non-Profit Organisation (NGO), and my official job title is Housing Support Services Development Facilitator. When I understand more about what that entails I will let you know.

I am first spending a week in Phnom Penh, Cambodia with our country manager and the other volunteers before I head to Ho Chi Minh to familiarise myself with the environment and acclimatise.

I will be blogging about my observations, frustrations and funny stories.
